OK, so I did go to Roses last year and got a stamp, it works OK, but he told me I needed to use a quick drying ink for the polymer notes. I see on here that everybody recommends stanzan (sp) ink. Does it work well on the polymer notes, and dry quickly?
That's STAZON, and can be purchased at any Micheal's store.
YES, its stays on very well.
Beware when using a 'new" pad as the ink is plentiful and tends to smear if your not careful when stamping (I learned by experience…or the hard way) :))
Comes in a rainbow of colours but i find the BLACK and the RED stand out the best. I have also tried the BLUE
movie-fan is 100% correct.
Well the guy at Roses talked me into a self inking stamp not one where you hit a pad. I am hoping to just buy some different ink and clean out the quick dry I am using now as it seems to gum up the stamp and not work great. Thanks for the tips.
The "self inking" stamps are ok but will wear off easily.
I had tried cutting a piece of my 'Stazon' pad and putting it in a self inking stamp. It lasted about two days as the ink pad dried out. The pad has to stay covered!
Here's a hint:
When the pad starts to "wear out"…Turn it upside down (sealed) and place in the sun (like on your dashboard in the car, etc)… It heats up and VOILA! It's good to go once again…
Definitely extends the life of a pad
thanks, movie something i did not know..
I have some Stazon Cleaner.
I just dab a bit on the pad, and it's god to go again.
Never seen the Stazon CLEANER. I'll have to look for it and give it a go. Thanks
