tonight I was entering some bills here @ work and I came across a discovery that I have not seen here before. There were 2 sets of 2 bills that were in sequence one after the other. ex) awi5**29 awi5**30
Has this happened to anyone else before and how often?(just by chance not going into the bank and requesting new stacks)
I had that happen to me once or twice.
I think the banks released a bunch of new bills on Jan 1, because I will get a stacko bills from someone and once in awhile will get a few in sequence, but on Jan 2, I received not one but two sequences. 14 - 20's and 13 - 50's. Also, a few days ago I received 2 new 10's that were 2 #'s apart. ie 2024 and 2026. So if you collect, now seems to be the time to watch for new bills.
Thanks for the heads up. CJ
I got 2 one number appart from each other, just from outta the blue. Not by going to the bank.

My biggest payout from an ATM were 23 sequential, consecutive UNC $100 bills last week.
I'll check. I hadn't decided to use them to buy an UNC set of Bird Bills, incl. $1000. all with serial number 00000400. The price seems a bit steep.
This is what I dream about: a bundle of 100 5's straight from the bank- no need to write down each number and all perfect condition so they're apt to circulate a little longer…
Doesn't always work.
I had that seq. of 30 new bills last summer, and only one of them has been hit so far.
<It would just be easier for me. Right now I record serial numbers on my break, then bring my list home and enter them in the database. With a virgin stack, I could just write 'ABC9990000 > ABC9990100', and then stamp them. Saves a lot of writing, that's all. We've had new bundles from the bank before, but before I joined this site.
Serotonin, how much does the guy want for the All 400 serial numbered bills? if its over 2000 too much, well depends on signature combos. Ill tell you the book value of these if you tell me the signatures.

$5-Bonin-Thiessen
$5 Crow-Bouey
$10 Thiessen-Crow
$20 Thiessen-Crow
$50 Thiessen-Crow
$100 Thiessen-Crow
$1000 Thiessen-Crow
TOTAL: $2400/ all UNC
no 1,2
all 0000400
Well……. With no 2 dollar bil, but with 5-1000 i would predict around $1800. The individual 5, sice you would have 2, would be about $25 so worth a total of 1825 dollars…
Whats he charging you, the 2400? too much…..But its up to you, try to talk him down if you really want it, but book value is what i said. :|

Thanks. I was back today. He was out. But I bought 20
$2 EBX Thiessen-Crow UNC sequential for $240. I think I'll pass on the other set. I found an UNC 1979 $20 for $110. I 'm looking for the $5 now.
Guess I got lucky? I've purchased two half stacks (one in total) crisp new 5s the first time I called the bank…they hold them for me now :) I come in, lay a couple
browns & a red on 'em & get 50 bills. I tell ya…it's addictive…the weight, the smell, the ease of stamping…hell I could do this all day! God forbid I win the lottery I'd sit around with fresh stacks of all denominations stamping away like a WILD MAN! Then I'd pour em out onto my bed & sleep the sleep of gods… ROFLMAO!

I think most of us feel that way!
I hope idjit thanked you for that first hit, and we'll all thank him for attracting another dedicated user!
