I was at the local store, one of only 2 in Crofton, cashing in my fifty. When the cashier put the bill under the till(he noticed the stamp, and said will go here. Hope he does), I saw a 1975 $50, in F-EF condition. Should I go back and get it, hopefully at face value?
i am not collector.. but it would have to be in almost uncirulated condition to be worth anything.. ( i could be wrong)
you should be able to get it at face value cashiers couldn't careless about that stuff
i have worked tills b4 and i sorted some money i wanted to keep and let the manager count it out for me.
even the managers don't care it isn't their money
as far as being collectible, if it's stamped it isn't worth anything. If it isn't stamped….If you are a collector and don't have one of these already, I would get it, if you aren't a collector, don't bother.
I would agree with Lord_Comedy saying the bill has to be in really good shape to be really worth something.
I myself, so have some old bills that aren't in good shape, but I put them in my collection until a better one comes around.
And, I got it. Had to convince the cashier to give it to me, and she almost didn't. Said I collected them, and was even prepared to offer $55, but no dice. Finally, after starting to leave, i got it. And the good thing about it, its worth about $65.
Kaiser, what are the sigs, and serial, I can give you a value.
