Multi consecutive serial # entree's

Looking though bills that have been entered
I came accross someone who enters whole packages of bills
says he works at a bank, but this means this is not his money nor would he be able to mark it.
I could understand friends lending him bills to enter, AND MARK.
this person marks several of his own bills and sends them on his way, but I think him entering packages of money from the bank is cheating. and this money is NOT MARKed
I wanna know what other people think about this person entering money that barely passes though his hands at work.
If he could and would mark it.. producing hits then I would think it is closer to being OK.
but as it is. i think it is wrong.. and cheatful

I'm sorry you feel this way, but it IS allowed. I enter bills from work all the time, as do MANY users that have been here since you and I didn't know squat about this site. You may enter any bill you want from anywhere you can get it, as long as you do not get friends or co-workers to enter them after you to make "false hits"
The fact that he enters bills from work, and his work happens to be a bank, I say "lucky him".
Also, marking bills is a personal choice, and not a pre-resquisite of this site. It just so hapens that you get more hits if you choose to mark.

Lord_Comedy

eagle are yours multi consecutive??? 50 in a row?
or even 100
this persons is..
i could enter mutli consective.. ( i would be cheating.. but who would know )
he does not put the condition of the bill in..
in his profile says he is 17. i doubt a bank would trust a kid to handle money like he does..
a pack of 100's hold 10 G
that is mainly what he enters $100's
personally i doubt he ever sees any of theses bills.. maybe his mom or dad..

eagle_fs

I remember seeing this person as well when I was looking thru peoples bills one day. All they add are 100's. I also understand what you are talking about. But the bottom line is, it IS allowed. If it makes you feel any better, with 100's, there is not many hits he will get.

Lord_Comedy

thing is it could easily be done with other bills..
and this person doesn't actually hold each individual bill in his hands..
IF he does work at the bank.. cool.. but he would still only hold a bundle of bills Wrapped and ceran wrapped.
he doesn't know for sure all the bills are consecutive.. by looking at them..

antics

how does someone who is 17 work in a bank and have access to that kind of money? if the age is real, maybe the money entered is a figment of the imagination? it would not be too difficult to enter bills like that. Has he or she ever given someone a hit from entering these? If so then they could be in question as they would not have been in circulation yet for someone else to enter. but then again, it could be for real. who knows?

Lord_Comedy

what you said about a figment of imagination is what i was thinking when i put this post in..
as i said even packaged money though.. he wouldn't have seen each bill individually
who really knows if any of this money was circulated..
or will be..
banks hold onto packages of 100's indefinately.. and when they go out of circulation they go back to bank of canada
such that they make the new style.. and use those

eagle_fs

you are right about breaking the rules if he didn't see each individual bill personally. I would say that is a must.

kaiser

Whats the users name, and if possible, a link to the profile?

Also, any bill you can get the serial number off of is ok, as long as its not from Ebay, or anything like that.

Lord_Comedy

in his profile it says they are packages.. they are air packed in banks.. and you can't see each bill unless you open the package
even casino regina has an air packer.. bills from the casino even when they are old become pressed.. and almost seem uncurculated
when you press 100 bills into the size of 50 it really compresses them

antics

there are two users who enter lots of hundreds and I could not see consectuive ones but did not look back too far. Actually there is a girl who works at the bank near here and she has a job handling money and is only 16. she counts the bundles every day. if she came across a pile that was consecutive, I guess she would know it and could enter them if she wanted to. I imagine her employers would not want them marked though. marking is the hard part. and hundreds are not something most people get a whole lot of. I would hardly worry about it anyhow. I just figure if someone is entering bills that are not legit, too bad for them as they will someday get caught and ruin their own fun. and if they are legit? good for them for having the ability to enter them. it would not be much fun tracking imaginary money.

antics

he only has 2 hits so they are probably uncirculated. i dont think there is a way to tell how many hits he has given but "IF" that ratio were high, then I would question it. Otherwise I dont think it is a big deal. with so few hits it would not be much fun. he would be better off marking his own money and getting as many fives as he can.

kaiser

Actually, Raceday16 has done some stuff like that before. I'm not going to list it, and if any other users wants to, they can.

MmmBeer

Yeah I would just forget about it. If he was entering the falsely, he is not going to get hits on them, because they aren't stamped. The only way he can get a hit is if a user enters a bill he previously entered.

maggiemae

Lord_Comedy I am guilty of getting multiple consecutive serial # entries from the bank. But I was told that it is okay to do that.

Lord_Comedy

maggie it isn't that.. nearly all his bills entered are multi consecutive..
and in packages of 50 or so..
i doubted that he saw each and every bill…
he has very few hits on these bills
it says in his profile he works in a bank..
when banks air pack bills they put the serial #'s on the package.. .. and you don't touch each bill.. can't unless you open it
