I got a 1 dollar bill from my grandma for Christmas. How should I store it and how do I enter it on the site?
The ones do look cool though, I wish they did that with the loonie, and had them both as options (they stopped making ones long before I was born)
Don't mark it. Just put it away as a keepsake. Notes don't increase in value like coins do.
They had to kill the note when the coin came or it wouldn't have been cost effective. See the Susan B Anthony $1 coin in the US. It was never accepted because the bill was still being produced.
Kinda liked our old $2 bill though. Still have a lot of those.
Maybe it's just because I haven't seen one physically, but the twos don't look that good to me. I do remember seeing a few stories about the American one dollar coin.
How do I put the serial number, et. al on the site (enter the note)?
Just to add my 2cents worth…
Prior to leaving Canada, I went to the Scotiabank in Garden City, Winnipeg, and turned in a LOT of old paper notes that I had been saving ($1,$2, $5, $10, $20, $50, $100 notes), MOST (98%) were in mint UNCIRCULATED condition.
So, although highly unlikely that they'll distribute, there might be a possibility that the odd one MIGHT be out there.
They will likely go to the shredder….
I would have bought those 1s and 2s from you!
