when we spoke on the phone yesterday i mentioned that I had more bills marked and that I could not enter them because i had reached my limit. You said that you were setting the date back so that you could enter more bills. I don't understand how that can be done….explain please. What would be the point in having a limit if you are doing that????
Setting the date back won't have any effect on how many bills you can enter per day. If your limit is 100 bills, that's all you can enter, no matter what date you say you received the bills. The only time you can enter more than your limit is if you found another user's bill, creating a hit for that person. A hit for someone else does not count against your limit for that day.
If you back-date a bill, it counts as one of the current days "limit", but it backdate's the "entry"…so that if another person hit on it while you were waiting to get it in the system, it would still count as you hit, and not become a orphan.
To backdate a hit, when you enter it…just change the date on the bill add screen to erfelct the day the you received the bill, and not leave it the same as the current date. Come down to the store today maggiemae, and i'll show you how. We got to do the phone thing anyways.
okay eagle I will try I have been so busy with some family issues. I sure hope you are feeling better.
if another person hit on it while you were waiting to get it in the system, it would still count as you hit
That's not entirely true; first, the hit would go to the person that entered the bill before you and second, I would most likely change the date on your hit. In any case, entries are no allowed to be backdated past the date of a previous entry, but sometimes the system misses them. I'm looking into that bug.
