Bill Entry Order

dr:

I was entering 100 bills tonight, and when I was finished the entry limit info said I entered 99. So I obviously missed one. Now being a bit anal, I entered all the bills in prefix order, AOA, AOB, etc. But when I went to check the list, the entry order for that batch was all mixed up.

Why isn't the bill list in the same order as I entered them even though I entered them all at the same time?

BTW, I did find the bill I missed eventually!

The default when you view your entries is that they are sorted by date entered, startiong with the most recent entry. However, if the entry dates are the same, it's in whatever order the database returns them. I could have those return in the order in which you entered them or I could have them show up ordered by serial number. It's an easy fix so let me know what you think.

I could go with either one. Perhaps a user defined preference? If I had to pick one, it would be entry order. Maybe it's just me, but if I have a bundle of bills, and I miss one, entry order would be an easier find.

Again, maybe it's just me, but I find the current system a bit illogical.

of course I haven't met ya, so don't take it personally.
just as I read it.. I had a laugh.
You are right though Pooga it is tough to find what you wants sometimes when the server mixes them up from your entree order

I agree with Pooga and eagle_fs, entry order would be my preference.

When I try to find a user's "hit-daddy", it is often the fifth last entry on their entry list. If it was in order then it should be the last entry.
