CMT Score Question

Hey Everyone,
Just came accross the site while looking at info on geocaching. But I have a quick question, I can't seem to find anywhere the formula/method used to calculate the CMT score. Anyone know even just in a general way where it comes from? As a random score number doesn't have much of a meaning without a context for how it's calculated.

Its roughly: You get

• points for bills entered
• points for hits
• points decline if you don't enter a bill on a given date but points return when you enter the next bill
• fewer points per bill as the number of bills entered or hits increases

Cool yeah it does, that's what I sorta figured it was. But I wasn't sure, I was quite suprised that there wasn't a entry in the FAQ for this.

CMT scoring has always been a closely guarded secret since it was introduced on the site. Its has been 'tweeked' a couple of times by the site administrator,DR, to thwart those who would manipulate their entries to acheive the maximum effect- also the reason for the secrecy. Take it from me, you just have to be satisfied with the rough description because the exact formula has been obtaind by no one- even after I tried to bribe him…

Nothing worked, or I'd know the formula. If something did work, I wouldn't tell ya, 'cause I'd want to keep the advantage, and I wouldn't tell you what failed either- it's a guy thing.
By the way, when your nose twitches, is it like Samantha's on the old TV show Bewitched? That would be cool!

That makes sense there are always people who try to abuse the system I suppose. Ahh well I was more just really wondering what contributed. I don't need the equation or anything.

all I know for sure antics is if your nose twicking worked you would be in first place right off the bat hahahaha. thata would definitely throw the equation all to hell..LOL

if i could only do what samantha did, i would not even need a computer! I would definitly not be working anyhow.

Dont you also get points for messages or not i havnt noticed any points for posting message but someone told me you do get points the next day is that true?

yes, you get points for every posted message, PLUS every letter used in a message. You get a point for turning your computer on in the morning, and double points between 12 am and 1 am. That's why my score sucks, i've been avoiding the message boards and i go to bed early lol.
