Puzzle

Here's something to put on your site for CMT users to access.

This is a WordSearch puzzle with the names of the top 49 users as of a couple days ago.

Unfortunately, I had to make a few changes.

First, anyone who had a number as part of their username, as an example, wally69me, had to have the number dropped, as it was incompatible. Therefore, he becomes 'wallyme' for the puzzle. The same holds true for anyone using a hyphen or apostrophe.

Also, DR should have been in there, but that short combination comes up so often randomly there were too many places to find him. My apologies to the grand-daddy of CMT. Perhaps we could have a contest of 'how many times 'DR' shows up on the puzzle.

I don't have an answer key, but all 49 from the list on the bottom are there. Words can be forward, backward, vertical in either direction, or diagonal.

wow,, i printed it out and with my eyesight being what it is i should onlt take about 10 years to do it, thanks for the challenge.

me too inbetween customers. had a problem finding magpie so i looked for pie and got it that way. :o) pies are easy to find!

the last one I found was Kitkat

i had a real problem finding sarge….went through the page four or five times before i found him

pretty cool… is there a hidden message with the left over letters?

Also… with all your spare time, poogie, you could have done it in java form, this way wouldn't have had to print it out :) JK!!!

J Lynn there are program where all you do is type the names in.. and it makes the puzzle
most likely what he did.. ,
but a java form would be cool!!
BTW Sarge was my last word, but shrimpncheerios was close to last
I took a break after doing most of it i was chatting in YM
but it woulda took me about 40 minutes

I posted it for Sarge, I didn't do the puzzle.

I know that there is <a href=http://coolfreesoftware.com/wordsearch/index.shtml target=_blank>PC software</a> available to do it with though.

thanks pooge. it only took me 10 and a 1/2 hours to do it ….god that was hard, i used to do those all the time when i worked.

Sarge… Just wondering but if you use a program to make it, can you choose the dimmensions.. and add more names..
maybe like top 75 or 100
but if you drafted this yourself :) It's all cool!!

I use a tool thats on the Discovery Channel website. You can select the dimensions and whether it is in print or html format. If the dimensions aren't large enough for the number of words you have, it simply won't put in all the words. I don't know what the maximum limits are for dimensions or number of words.
