If I enter a bill at my home postal code but I know I am going to spend it at a different postal code, a couple of hundred miles away, should I enter the postal code of where I am going to spend the bill or does it really matter. Thanks…….Chris
I believe you should enter the postal code from where you live or where you got the bill, not where you plan on spending it. :-]
Wally is right. It doesn't matter where you spend it…
All bills should be entered from your own postal code, otherwise it gives a false sense of where the bill has actually been. The only time I enter from another city is if I am in that city and I know a bill (or bills) will be spent there. For example if I entered a bill that I received in Calgary while using my Regina postal code, it would look pretty suspcious if that bill were to be found in Calgary that day (if that actually were to happen). Of course one might assume that it simply got to the airport really quickly, LOL. But still, if you get a bill in your hometown, you should either enter your home postal code or the postal code of the place of business where it was received. Also, bills should not be entered from a phony postal code for this same reason.
Also you could use the comments to note that you got the bill at a different location and enterd it using a public computer there. Or mention in the comments that you are spending it on vacation or a trip.
