After approx 6-7000 stamped bills, my stamp is finally running out of juice. I'll have to run down to Rose's someday now I guess. At the rate I'm slipping in the top ten, I can't afford to send out ANY bills without stamping them anymore. Anyone else keep track of roughly how long their self-inking stamps have lasted?
When I first started, about 2 weeks ago, LOL, I just wrote the website on by hand. I put out about 50 bills handwritten and have received a couple of hits from these bills. Good Luck!
mine can be refilled also. I was very happy when my co-worker pointed that out to me. The ink pad just slides out.
I started about a year ago entering bill's on this site and ive entererd more than 5 thousand bills but i just write the address on the back of all my bill's well most of them the ones at work im not allowed to but the ones from home i do.
Mine lasted about 4 months before becoming really faded. I was at work and I put in a couple drops of food coloring on the stamp, has been working good!! As long as my money doesn't get wet should last until I get to the city to get ink. If yours is like mine (not refillable) just put ink on the stamp and open and close a few times. Hope this helps.
my ink that I can refill with is not waterprrof either. anyone know where to get PERMANENT ink refill?
I just picked up a bottle at Rose Marking Devices in Saskatoon. I assume it is waterproof. Will have to check it out when I get home. Cant remember what it cost (suffering from C.A.R.S. again) :-]
Why don't you guys just run your bills through your printer? That's what I do. It's easy! Depending on how your printer feeds the paper in, it shouldn't be too difficult. But, even if you need to tape the bill to a sheet of paper and send it through that way, it should still work fine.
depending on what kind of printer you are using…..inkjet seems to fade off the bill after some time…. don't know if anyone tried a laserjet.
"…don't know if anyone tried a laserjet."
Laserjet works O.K., but the message does tend to rub off after a while- especially on ragged bills.
Inkjet isn't waterproof.. my ink in my stamp seems to be permanent. After throwing a few UNC fives in the pool in the summer, the ink stayed the same.. Got my ink pad from Grand and toy. It's in a black case, works good. I have had it for 2 years, still inked..
I finally bought a stamp yesterday and it was 29.99 on sale for 19.99 but thats because it was missing the ink pad.So now i gotta go buy an ink pad then i'll be set
