How does the bill get there?

This is just a matter of idle speculation but does anyone have any theories about how the bills travel so far, and by such circuitous routes? Are they carried by individuals on vacation or business? We are a people who seem to move around a lot. Are they redistributed by the banks? When I play with the search function I am amazed at the number of bills that originate in the West, especially Saskatchewan, and find their way into New Brunswick.

your right on when you say that people take the cash with them or get it at the bank. I do think that the bills may travel farther because of the tourists. i hope you enjoy the site. Welcome from Moose Jaw, SK.

I can vouch for the mail aspect, I sent my cousin in Saskatoon some money via the mail and one of the bills was hit 3 days after it arrived, so money goes around the country in all kinds of ways.

I think some of it is the uninformed bank tellers that send the bills that are marked for destruction!! Of course the BoC just sorts them out bundles them up and puts them back in circulation!! Then moving at the speed of government they get sent else where!! So check for cobwebs HA!!HA!!
