size of bills

is there a trend or is it just my unique experience? the last 6 hits i've gotten are on $20s and 13 of the last 19 have been on the larger bills. are more being hit or is it because i've had a more or less equal number of 5s and 20s entered?

My best guess is that cause 20's are what is spit out of most bank machines that would be the best size of bill to mark, however, $5's are obviously used more. Personally, I have nearly double the 20's marked as I do $5's and I have the same # of hits on each.

I have entered over 1000 more 20's than 5's, but have similar hits on each.

yea eagle.. you have more bills entered and hit than me so you would be more in the long run how things may develop..
i would be recent.. as i only started a couple month ago..
so maybe 20's are becoming more circulated
as i said most bank machines only spit out 20s now..

i still think 5's are more circulated. It's just in my business, I see way more 20's. But if you notice, I get = hits on my 5's & 20's even though I have way more 20's marked. This proves (I think) that 5's are still more popular.

I've got almost twice as many $20s (1,021) as $5s (533) entered but not even close to twice as many hits on $20s (64) as $5s (46). Speaking from a percentage point of view, the proportion of bills I have entered vs bill hits are almost the same in all denominations, except for $100s. To me this makes sense because there are a lot of businesses out there that won't accept anything larger than a $50.

If you go to the top 10 and compare 20's to 5's entered and hit you will see 5's are hit way more.

I guess the key word in Rudy's message was "TREND" .
With Meangene, Eagle and I all having more 20's entered than $5's and all of us being users who started recently.
The TREND may be changing where $20's are hit more.
Remember bank machines used to all spit out $5's, Now, very few do.
I have 17 hits on $5's and 17 hits on $20's, but as well I have nearly double the amount of $20's out as $5's
If everyone keeps entering $20's as you will get them from bank machines and change for bigger bills. ( as being users )
Users will get more $20 hits from other users. and $5's will probably attract more new users, as it is easier to keep a $5 in your pocket than it is a $20. When you are holding onto it just to check out the site.

I expect to get more hits on my $20's in the long run, as they stay in circulation longer than a $5 does.

I may just be weird, but I have 2, 2hit $20's and only 1, 2hit $5 bills.
but it may be cause trend is changing.
After all trends do change otherwise we would all still be wearing bell bottom jeans from the 60's

It will be interesting to see if say over the next 6 months the % of hits on $20 starts to increase.

you also should realize that when out shopping or bill paying etc, if you come across a marked bill and find it interesting, a five is a lot easier to not spend and enter than a 20.

Here are my statistics. I have more hits on 20's and 50's than 5's. BUT that would be because I've entered thousands of 20's and only a couple hundred 5's.

Size of bills? I prefer mine 2.75 inches wide and 6 inches long.

Smaller usually means counterfeit, and larger ones wouldn't fit in my wallet.

I always heard it was not the size that counts. its what you do with it.
