All I hope now is that I can stay here. I think it's going to be really hard to get higher than this. The next number to get to is 667 points (meangene79) and about 1 point or less per day (if I get hits), it'll take awhile to get there. By the time I get there, meangene79'll probably be at 10 points higher.

but i hear ya… i'm grading term papers right now, so i'm finely attuned to it. one "tut tut", however, is due… be cautious with the term "nazi"… some are very sensitive to it (even if it was self-deprecating).
As you can see I challenged him to correct mine.
In the future if he keeps correcting people I will make mine posts readable, but you will question spelling on every word, and have to think about the english.

public forums are democracy in action. everyone can express feelings or opinions, no matter the form. pedantic riposts are the purvue of those who focus on appearances rather than substance. it implies judgement and it tends to drive away the people who have every right to express themselves as they see fit. indeed, judge me not for the fact that i eschew upper case letters, for i warn you, you will be very surprised.
so, i pray, leave typos and grammar alone. it is one of the lowest forms of internet interaction and it reflects badly on the generally tolerant nature of this group. if maggiemae wants to spell the contraction for "you are" in her idiom, so be it. i understood her perfectly. i, however, cannot and never will understand intolerance.
now… if anyone wants to look for grammar and typos where it COUNTS, i'll gladly accept ANYone's help in grading my 150 Introductory Geography term papers!
