Just wanted to say HI to all on this site.I received a $5 bill over a week ago stamped with "see where i've been-www.cdn-money.ca" and I was hooked!
I have been involved with collecting coins & paper money for over 30 years. This site is exactly the thing needed to peak even more interest in the hobby.I've often handled notes from the 1800's & up and always wondered to myself"hmm, where have you been, what have you been through, who else had you etc."
So,I signed up-but after I had entered the bill as anonomous–I figured it would automatically go on my list when signed up,but it didn't-oh well.
I often handle large sums of money in my day to day dealings-so when my wife went to the bank machine the other day & I asked her for her notes, then began writing down serial#'s ,she thought I really lost it this time.
Anyhow,no offense to those that write on bills, but I feel it is degrading to write on money-so I ordered a couple stamps to start marking my bills. They are inexpensive & I feel they do justice to our beautiful money & improve on the publics view of what is being done here.
I am also quite active on ebay, under the user name coineye-so drop by some time & have a look at some of the neat offerings I frequently put up there!
I can be reached at steevee@canoemail.com but please put CDN-MONEY in subject line,or I'm afraid my filters will just dump your message!
Regards,steve[coineye]

Hi coineye, welcome to the site from rural Saskatchewan.

You will fit in with the rest of us quite well. There are several members that are into serious coin and bill collecting.

If you still have the original bill you entered, enter it again as a user and put in the comments that you had entered it anonymously before. dr will correct it when he has time.

Welcome!! I agree the stamps look better, and it's alot faster than writing!!! Also somewhere is samples of some of the users stamps, some very nice ones. I'm not sure where…anyone??

pooga gave a link in the next thread..

Wally misspelling a persons name is rude..
it was a typeo..
So yea i did fix it.. and i apologize to pooga for misspelling his name.
most errors i make are typeos.. and iknow i am not perfect..

wally69me

It sounds to me by some of your recent posts that you cannot handle criticism. Perhaps you don't want anyone to know that you may not be perfect. However….deliberately misspelling pooga's name is downright disrespectful and rude…..I think you should edit your post and correct the spelling. If you made the same mistake over and over again and no one tells you of it, you would continue making it….this way someone is pointing out an error and the person may learn from it.

Lord_Comedy

Actually wally i can handle criticism.. i just don't think people should nitpick some of this stuff where people are trying to relax.. not write a term paper.. i beleive we are all out of school.. most of us anyways.. ( my brother a new member is in university ) and i don't know about others..
thing is.. we are here to have fun.. not have people criticise our typing…

whati was saying when i asked him to correct me is…
i can do run on sentences and uncomplete sentences like no ones business.. and spelling i can spell worse than anyone and still have words legible.. to anyone who can read..

yes i fixed pooga's name that was a typeo.. please re read my post

Pooga

LOL!
My, it's amazing how one obsession can be accepted so easily, while another is scorned as being 'nitpicking'! I suppose if I had said that I love liver, half the people here would say, "Ewww, that's disgusting"! I'm still laughing!

Lord_Comedy

Pooga are you sure it is typo not typeo.. listen to how you say it.. you don't say ty-po you say type-o
1 mistake i know i always make..
i nearly always put e before i .. even though the rule is i before e except after c and when it says a
