Burned again

I've been making alot of noise over the last couple of days about cmters ignoring the other tracking sites if they see a bill with that site on it. When I did that, I had 2 bills found by cmters but only gave me the hit here and not at the other site. (personal note: I only mark one site now, the two site markings was an experiment). Well, I can add yet another cmter to my list. I can just imaging what the excuse is this time. For those keeping track at home, that's 3 cmters with 2 of my bills. And people wonder why I'm getting disgusted with this site?

I found one of your bills today. If a bill os marked with both stamps - I only enter it on this site. If a bill only has the other site on it - I enter it at both but do not add my stamp to it. Sorry for not giving you a hit on it for the other site, but I already gave it out as change so I cannot remedy it now.

If you get mad when people do not enter your bill, I think you have the wrong attitude for this anyways. Its A HOBBY. I am not getting paid to do this, so if I choose to enter it on one site - there is not a law that says otherwise - It is my choice. Actually - when I got your bill, it was really busy and I managed to give you a hit on this site before needing it as change - you should be happy when you received the hit here. Anyone else getting it probably would not have entered it on any site at all. I figure a bill must go thru about 100 people (just a guess) - before finding even 1 that will take the time to enter it. At least when you get a hit from anyone, that's good.
You should appreciate all and every hit - not critisize when you don't get want you want. I'm sorry, it's just my opinion. I could be wrong.

samson, you may as well add me to your list also. I would do the EXACT same thing; that is, if I found a bill marked with more than one site, one of which was CMT, I would enter it here at CMT and call it quits. Why? Because I use CMT and prefer it over all the tracking sites. Just because the person who marked the bill has time to enter it at multiple sites doesn't mean I have time. Likewise, if it was marked with multiple sites, and not CMT, I would pick a site, most likely WW, and enter it there.

Now, that all said, if it was only marked with WW, for example, I would happily enter it there and leave it as is, marked with only WW.

You have no right to berate users who have chosen only to enter a multiple-site marked bill at their site of choice. I think you'll find that most trackers are not fans of multi-site marking for this very reason (most new users won't take the time to enter a bill in multiple spots). Cry all you want but I think you'll also discover that most people, regardless of their site of choice, will agree.

As for your disgust, well, regardless of the action being done, to judge an entire site on the actions of a few is a rather big generalization.

ditto that is exactly what i was saying all along.
I work about 14 to 16 hours a day. I spend my spare time here while photos and files are being uploaded. a few minutes here and there is ALL I have for spare time.

I don't mean to pass judgement on the entire site, which is why I had asked everyone what would they do if they came apon a bill with multiple sites. Based on the response I got, it was evenly split. As stated in an earlier thread, there should be some sort of understanding that giving hits is just as important as recieving them. My disgust was a momentary thing. One of those things you say then regret saying. I just needed to know that my buddy eagle missed the site explaining why the singular hit. That's what happened and being a busy buisness that he runs, bills fly through his hands quite quickly. All is forgiven there, but my quest into understanding will continue…….

I'm glad there were no hard feelings. I did not do anything purposely. Today's baby check day and it was busy earlier. Not too bad right now, but sure was earlier. :) Good!!! Get's my bills entered up a little to fight off antics. lol

It would be nice to set up a protocol with all the 3 sites..
So that in the Faq and basic Protocol .. No one double marks bills.
Stick to one site per bill. if you want to stamp for more than 1 site. split the bills in half. so one bill has 1 site. then the next bill has site 2.
As I think most people agree bills with more than 1 site on the bill is counter productive to both the site and money tracking

I keep forgeting that everyone waits for baby cheques. Went Xmas shopping with my little one in tow. Some stores was insane. You'd think it was boxing day or something.

baby cheques?? babies get cheques?? i want to be a baby

they all get checks but they all sign with an "X" - so they're easy to forge - all you have to is to check the mail before they get up.

Well I am not interested in any protocol with the other sites since I am very involved with this one and if in fact I enter a bill at whereswilly or who ever that is my choice and i don't enter any bills on other sites except this. I like it that way. This seems to me to be the best CMT site and so here i stay and although I have entered 6 bills now on the wherewilly site only because it had a stamp on it.
I have to say to you Lord_comedy and samson that maybe you guys should try and maintain this site. I think DR has done a wonderful job putting this site together and I am pretty sure works at maintaining the site on a daily basis. I would suggest you applaud him rather complain about improvements that DR could be making. I as well you guys are new to this site and those old timers are happy. So hope you take this in the right way and be thankful that the site is so well managed and send DR a few bouquets his once in awhile please. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.

I just thought it would be nice to set up a protocol between the 3 sites that track money in Canada…
Such that.. It doesn't endorse users to stamp multiple sites on any bill.
and Such… with a bill only being marked by 1 site. If you wanna enter the bill at more sites incase a fellow member at the site get s the bill you may recieve a hit at your site, but you should enter it at the 1 site it is marked with.
