hi i'm new to this and i saw the stamp on a $20 bill i received at work. i wrote the serial number wrong and i don't know which letter was wrong. can anyone help me?? i have it starting with ELUP then the number. Does anyone have any idea which letter i might have written down wrong or can someone tell me where i can look up to see if my bill has already been entered so i can see the history of it and other bills??? thanks for your help.

There should be 3 letters and 7 numbers, but that's all the help I can offer..Sorry
EVP or EVU are valid prefixes…

THE "E" IS PROBABLY RIGHT. JUST ARRANGE THE OTHER LETTERS AROUND UNTIL YOU ARE ABLE TO ENTER IT. THAT IS MY BEST SUGGESSTION.(unless you got a letter wrong, i.e. maybe the U is a V instead?)

myky701: Ignore the advice about trying until it works; you're likely to enter in invalid data. Instead, email me (dr@cdn-money.com) the serial number you wrote down and I'll check the database to see if I can find a bill that matches.

And once again, the man with the magic backend access to the database solves the mystery… :)

The prefix was EWP and the user had the last digit wrong but still, the note was found.
