I was wondering why the number of new messages seemed rather low when I logged in last night. Then the idea of tracking forums popped into my head.
So I go to my user page, and sure enough, only three of the forums are checked off as being tracked. So I checked them all off, and presto, 45 new messages to read!
Bottom line, I think that only 3 forums are automatically checked off as being tracked in this version. You have to go in and manually add them yourself.
Or were my preferences the only ones messed up?

No, mine were the same.
Every time I logged on there were only a few messages, mainly in this forum. After I tracking all the forums I had twenty or so to read in the rest.
D'oh, look at that, 66 more messages.
How do you change which forums you want to track?
Go to your user profile. That's where you can select which forums you track.
I gained 50 unread messages, thanx for pointing it out.
I discovered this a couple days ago. seemed a bit too silent around here and remembered something was mentioned somewhere about tracking the ones you want only.
hmm weird cause my number has always been right.. the full amount..

i didn't particularly think it was quiet.. but i found out there was alot more messages than what was regular.
I noticed the same but thought it was a good idea for the default setup… we don't want to overwhelm any new users with lots of forum messages, and those 3 are pretty much the most used and/or most important.
