In case anyone is curious, there are only two known counterfeit notes entered in the system…

kinda weird how one was received from a bank, and the other was known to be counterfeit and the user still spent it.
(btw - I just emailed you a few know conterfeit bills)
of the 3 counterfit bills that are listed completely in the forums here..
i checked them out at wheres willy.. they only know of 1 ..
i will be emailing hank to let him know

I cant believe the one bill ahs 3 hits.. Thats crazy.
even MORE curious is that the first entry has the comment that the bill is indeed a phoney and yet he clearly still passed it on. sheesh…
Maybe he didn't think it should be his problem to lose the $10 he earned.. as i said if money can be counterfitted so easy it shouldn't be the average person who loses the money .. the governement should take the loss
as it is their money system being copied.
ahhh… i see. as long as you can get away with it, then it should be okay. or wait… is it that if you can justify it to yourself, then it's not a crime? i'm confused.
the sad and inevitable fact is that it is each of us who is responsible to make certain that the money we accept is real. THAT is why you are stuck with it and why it is illegal to knowingly pass it on. the correct person is punished.
and by the way… the government is not "someone else"… it is WE, the average person.
"if money can be counterfitted so easy…"
Considering the extraordinary lengths that the Bank of Canada has gone to to incorporate counterfeit prevention features in Canadian currency, I am certain no one could make this claim. Check this out:

Money is being counterfitted.. and each and every security feature as it is put on the bills.. people are figuring out a way to counterfit the money still
didn't someone in a previous thread say austrailian money hasn't been counterfitted? why don't we go to that line of money?
..
as for the government .. it is we… but the goverenment can accept the loss much easier than individual people. at least then it would cost everyone evenly .
the goverenment wastes so much money it isn't funny anyways this would just make them use it a little more wisely.
It was I who mentioned the Australian money, but I do believe there have been some example of counterfitting, but they are much rarer. But the best part is the money costs less overall due to its extremely long life-span for only slightly higher printing costs, so the government could save money… and while they're at it get ride of the penny!!! (but that is my bias as I dislike pennie)
well T-rev.. I beleive there has been disccussion of the penny being out dated..
Even thoughts of stopping production of it.
I even think it would be a good idea. the penny costs more to make than a penny. so it is also a waste of cdn tax payers money!
I guess I agree with you T-rev
