User ages

Hey dr, here's a challenge for you:

Can you write a quick query script to find the average age of all users who have entered at least 100 bills?

I have a funny feeling that that number might turn out to be in the high 30s or low 40s!!!

Remember of course that this will be off slightly based on the fact that some users put in the wrong year of birth and every that January 1st everyone moves forward a year… that said, the average year of birth is:

1969.8098159509202 (or roughly Aug/Sept 1969)

In your original posting you said "…100 bills" … did you mean 100 forum postings? If you meant postings, then tack on a few years of age… the average year of birth for people who've posted 100 or more forum messages is:

1967.88

That's based on the 43 users who have posted 100 messages and have a year of birth (8 users qualify but don't have a year of birth in their profile).

As for the original average (based on 100 entries) I gave you, that's based on the 163 users with more than 100 notes entered (there are are actually 46 other users but they don't have a year of birth entered in their profile).

Being much younger myself, (09/54) was he born before or after dirt was created….. :o)
