Where is the best place in Regina to spend lots of cash.
I will be in Regina on Friday of next week and Monday the following week on work related travel. In the mean time I will have several ten's and five's t that need to be released into the wild.. :o)
You can buy Rock'n the valley tickets at the Normanview Mall. they would love to see your money….. I mean you.

Oh come on now, don't try to butter me up, all they want is my cash and my butt at the park…. Haven't been in a few years, so it might be time.
Who runs the event these days, I know that the event went through some really tough financial times…
The Queen City Kinsmen club bought the site in 97 and switched to a mix of classic and contemporary rock in 99.
I have been on the organizing committee since 98 and even though my opinion is a little bias, I think it's the best value for your dollar and the largest outdoor party in the province.
:) ahh Allen :)
Not only getting gouche to spend money now.. but he will have to come back again to go to rock in the valley
( by craven ) about midsummer
See… told you… all he is after is my hard earned and stamped money… hey, maybe that's not a bad thing…..
Okay gouche forget those other ideas… I go to Regina and hit the bingo hall. Now I leave a lot of bills there and rest assured most of those little old ladies have puters and they rush home and i get all these hits from the bingo hall. And then there is the casino. I hope I have helped you with this suggestion tee hee!!!!

Any suggestion helps, but I still have to get some work done while I am there! What! Between the bingo halls, the casino and work, it could be a tough call as to which one I will go to first…. :o)
I have to agree with the casino, great way to get bills spread around. Other than that, any other place you might normally spend bills would be a good bet (ie restaurants, etc.)
I think he means to get hits..
I don't know if there is a place such as that..
Maybe Maggie is right about the bingo halls..
but I know the casino has no power over hits.. I leave alot of money there.
When I am on these service calls to our Regina offices I usually end up eating out and/or going for coffee at the local restaurants. Only problem is the total bill for these places doesn't usually amount to all that much, even when you pay with $5.00 bills…. I may have to see about the casino, haven't been there in quite some time.
Well, any place that has a lot of cash flow would most certainly be a good place to start. To be honest with you I never even thought of the casino so I might just make a point of going in there with a "few" $5 bills.
The trick will be to come out with the same amount of dollars as what I went in with. Ya never know about the evil temptations of the slots…. lol
not from experience.. but slot machine don't take marked $5's
as for when you buy in at the table's for BlackJack
$5's fill up the table in a hurry .. and I don't think the dealers like taking a lot of 5's at once
but to get paid out in $5's afterward is ok. the cashiers look at you a little weird at first..
i usually just ask for $50 in $5's and $50 in $10's .. then it isn't so bad..
slot machines I don't play Blackjack. I DO!
That just shows you how often I go in there!!
The longest I ever spent in a "casino environment" was when I worked for volunteer groups at the "McPhillips Street Station" casino in Winnipeg many years back. I was always on the money taking side rather than the money giving side….
SLOT MACHINES DON'T TAKE MARKED 5'S MY EYE … I HAVE RUN OVER $500.00 OF THOSE MARKED SUCKERS INTO SLOTS NOW ONE OR TWO GET TOSSED BUT I (BEFORE I STARTED LIVING ON THIS SITE) PUT LOTS OF 5'S UNMARKED INTO SLOTS THAT ALSO DID NOT WORK.
SOME OF THOSE MACHINES ARE NOT VERY LIBERAL WITH TAKING ANY 5'S WHILE OTHERS SUCK THEM UP AS FAST AS YOU PUT THEM IN.
THE TRICK IS PUT IN $100.00 AND TAKE OUT $200.00.
GOOD LUCK AND WHEN PLAYING SLOTS ALWAYS PLAY THE MAX. AS THEY ARE THE BEST ODDS OF WINNING (YES I BOUGHT THE TAPE)
AND CHECK FOR THE HIGHEST PAYOUTS TO GET THE BEST BANG FOR YOU BUCK.
THE BEST WAY TO WIN IS NOT TO PLAY THEM AT ALL. SOUND ADVICE… NOW IF I WOULD ONLY LISTEN TO MYSELF.
I've never tried inserting marked $5s, but machines do take marked $20s, $50s and $100s from my experience. However, if you are only taking $5s and $10s it would be perfectly alright to get them changed for tokens at the change windows.
You would probably get a few remarks from the employees along the lines of 'I wonder why people do that to money', which is usually good for a chuckle afterwards. :)
I was in Edmonton not all that long ago and spent a couple of hunderd dollars at IKEA, Walmart and Shopper's Drug Mart and paid with marked $5, $10 and $20. At each place we heard the basically that comment.. Duh!
A few weeks ago I had to go the Home Depot in Regina to get some items for our Regina office and paid with marked $10. The guy at the register got quite ticked at the markings in the bills. Fortunately things were really busy and we hustled on our way.
One never knows what sort of reaction to expect from people.
If someone makes a comment to me about marked bills, I usually just say isnt it wonderful that people are interested in real money as opposed to debit cards?

That is an excellent comment!!!!
That and if they say anything you can say .. it really isn't against the law to mark bills unless you are advertising. (makingmoney off of it) . which we aren't
change or mark the serial number or the denomination.
it is smart to stay away from the security features as well
Or, if they seem genuinely interested, just let them know what the site is all about.
