Can someone explain to me the logic that is being used to calculate the CMT score? I have faithfully entered the maximum number of bills allowed for my level every day, yet my CMT score at times seems to be getting smaller.
I know there was some discussion about which CMT score is the more accurate one, and yes I do realize that the score is based on a given point in time.
For example, the CMT score shown for me on the main page this morning was 317.99, on the TOP 10 list as 299.64 and on my profile page as 299.66 whereas yesterday the scores were 321.07, 301.96 and 301.99 respectively. Why are the TOP 10 scores and the profile scores going down rather than up?
This is most discouraging. Can someone shed some light on this, is this normal? Curious minds want to know…. :o)
i think the score you are talking about for the front page are the 2 that change each time you look at it..
the top 15 is show.. then 2 random people in the top 100+
However the top 10 score may drop .. as with the new rule that Dr added that your score cannot go up by more than 25 points per day.. regulates the people who come 1ce every 3 months.. and enter 1 bill a boom they are back in top 10
these people will need to be continuious users to stay up top. I beleive this to be good for all the regular users. as some of us who are just starting .. relatively.. compaired to the originals. with the original people having had many bills marked and circulated for a long period of time.. these bill would have had a greaer chance for hits.. and many of these people have alot of hits. ( majority factor of the score )
A good example is.. if everyone that had ever registered would come back and enter a bill and their scores all jump to what the current calculation is..
MaggieMae currently in # 9 spot. would drop to about 12 or 13. MaggieMae has a tonne of bills entered for only being online here a year, and alot of hits. but some of those who quit have more.. and resulting with more hits as well.
I am up to about spot #30 personally.. and i was stuck at about #34 and 35.. from the old people coming and putting in 1 bill every other week or so.
I am not so concerned about people coming back and entering bills and moving up spots, limiting how far they can move up after a long absence is not a bad idea, it is that my profile score has been moving downward. This happens even when I enter max. bills per day……

You are correct. I meant the Top Users List and not the Top 10 List.
your score shouldn't be going down..
if it does go down.. maybe some of the hits you had were sent to hit heaven..
did the # of hits you have go down?

I only have one hit, and my CMT score did indeed go down.
Here are my CMT scores (last three days) from my profile before I enter any bills for the day:
Feb 23 - 304.27
Feb 24 - 301.99
Feb 25 - 299.66
Looking back over the past 2 weeks or so the trend has been for my profile CMT score to fluctuate between 305 and 299.
Ok tell me the scores after you enter a bill :)
as i would assume you don't enter the bills at the same time each day..
the longer the length of time you are away .. the more your score will drop .. weather it is 1 day 1 hour .. or 0 day 20 hours.. or 10 days 5 hours.. the base score is calculated.. then the amount of time you are away is calculated.. and they are multiplied together to give you your score.
I enter all of my bills for the day at about the same time, usually between 4:30 and 6:30 AM each and every day.
I have been keeping track of my CMT score after I enter the max of twenty that I am alloted so here is a listing of those for the past three days:
Date Before After
Feb 23 304.27 305.10
Feb 24 301.19 302.74
Feb 25 299.66 318.76
As you can see, it took a big jump today but for what reason, I had no hits, just entered my 20 bills.
considering you enter bills daily… i can only think maybe DR is playing around with the scoring calculation.. as it is done automatically .
I been watching mine each day as i enter bills.
and it slowly goes up.. and when i get a hit it goes up by about 1 - 2 extra points..
It does get a little frustrating when one enters bills regularly and at the end of the day sees little or no gain, or even a drop in score.
As I said in my first message of this thread, I am just trying to get an understanding of how the scoring works. I continue keeping track of score changes to see what kinds of trends there are….. :o)
I know that the higher up you go, the less you get for each bill entered and also the amount for each hit is less. but your score should not go down unless you are not entering. I know I cannot fill my daily limit, but my score does go up. albeit very slowly but it does snail crawl its way up. all I can do is try to enter all I can. had to let some unmarked ones fly yesterday as the hubby was spending as faster than I could write. some even escaped without being marked or written down. those hurt!!
awe pooor antics.. .. gotta spank him…
then he will write on them.. and write down the serial #
I feel your pain… :o) My better half really can't understand this "hobby" of mine and just wants to spend, spend, spend, no time for marking bills….
Unfortunately, I am still at the point where I can get my hands on more bills than I can enter. I keep all of the bills I get in a log book and enter as many as I can every day. I still have 4 or 5 days worth of bills to enter. Even at the next level for me it won't be much better.
I just have to keep plugging away until I get to a level where I can enter 50 or more a day….
Ya know, some significant others just have no understanding or sympathy for us hard workin' bill trackers…. :o)
They are not the slightest bit interested where their hard earned money may end up!!!!
All my better 3/4 does is use her bank card all the time. I stamped it once, but I haven't got a hit off it yet. I think the ink came off the card. I'll have to stamp it again just to be sure.
lol

Good one….

well LC, I dont think it is nice to pick on old people. :o)
besides he would probably like being spanked.
actually you know antics i was thinking the same thing.. then he wouldn't stamp and write down any bills or let you.. then you'd spank him more..
:) but what can you do??
( pick on old people?? aren't you and he close in age? most married people are)
not in this case. he is 18 years older.
I figure since men dont really grow up anyhow. mentally, that I may as well get one who is mentally a bit older.
not to mention that I prefer older men. usually not as childish and sulky
"usually not as childish and sulky"
Hey, I resemble that remark - we are so just as childish as sulky as we were when we were younger.lol

I for one haven't changed a bit. If you don't stop talking about me I gonna sulk! If you don't give me a hit really, really soon I gonna have a tantrum…. Ooooppps! Did I say that out loud??? :o)
Does the CMT score depend on what the denominations of the bills are, or just how many you enter?

I read in an earlier discussion on CMT score that it didn't matter what the bill denomination is, they are all scored the same. Can anyone verify this?
that is true….all bills entered count the same… :-]

That's what I thought I had read, thanks…
