ahh thats an old secret.. used by many chatters- its simple really tho.. just hit alt, 0, 222 hit enter & you will get the pic of the mouth with the tongue hanging out- put a colon and an o in front of it to complete the face :oÞ

you need to use the number pad..
:-Þ it doesn't matter which alt key at 1st i thought you needed to use the right alt key..
you can get all kinds of funky symbols usually it is just a 3 digit number not 0222 but i can't find that one.. :-Þ
penny symbol is alt 155 ¢
degree symbol for weather alt 167 º
Infinity ∞ alt 236

but I don't have it now and don't know where to get it.

ascii is what we had to use years ago at the newspaper. I used it in college while taking a reporting course. it is a type form that is used world wide by newspapers so that everyone can understand it and use it.
