what an amazing quilt- very creative piece of artwork depicting the faces of such a tragedy -..Lest we forget the people whose lives were ended so tragically. thanks for sharing Antics.
:o)
absolutely an amazing piece of work.
I still remember what I was doing that day. Heard it on the radio first as events were unfolding- just listened with a growing feeling of forboding. Went home later and was glued to the TV for hours wondering what it all would mean. I think we're still figuring it out.
I was at the hospital waiting for hubby to come out of surgery. when I heard about it, I got him a tv before he even woke up.
Well I was coming home from work and idjit told me about it. I went home and turned on the T.V and watched the happenings after that…..I couldn't believe what I was watching……such a shock……just as bad as when President Kennedy was shot…..I lived through that one as well and I did cry at both…I will never forget!!!!
I was in Toronto at the time. My father had just passed away and on September 11th family members were to fly to Toronto for his funeral the next day. Needless to say most of the family were unable to get there because of the events of September 11th. I was already going through a tough time and then to have that kind of tragedy piled on to it was quite a shock. Events of that day and that week are burned into my memory.
As someone else said we are still trying to figure out and cope with the consequences of that day.
My mother's and youngest sister's birthday is on that day.
