Had to get criminal record checks done today for an application, and paid for them with marked 5's. If anyone at the police station is going to make a fuss about marking bills, they aren't going to get a better chance! ('cept when I paid a parking ticket with fives).
Both times they looked at them, but didn't say a thing.
somehow, i think that stamped banknotes are the LEAST of the worries of the saskatoon police force. but that being said… just make certain that if you ARE gonna tick them off, do it on a nice warm day…
well suppose that would have been an ultimate test. But at this time it is not illegal to mark our bills so for sure you would have had a very good defense LOL. The only really ultmate test for me has been the bank and the casino….oh they do complain because my bill is marked and will not go into the machines….OH WELL!!!!!!
I get the same thing at the casino here ("Why do people do this to money? They don't go into machines.") The fact is they DO go into machines. Sometimes bills that have been around longer go in better than fresh ones, go figure! Anyway, I don't see it being a problem. If the police want to check that the bills are all real, they've got the equipment to do it I am sure.
We have no problem with marked bills going into our VLT's. We have a problem with 10's and 5's (marked or not), but never a problem with 20's. Today as I was stamping my bills, I had one with big red writing saying DOn't SPEND THIS MONEY, so I'll see if I ever get a hit on this one
If you got a prob. with 10's and 5's send them this way, i'll see they get used no prob. at all :)

Just paid my house insurance today in 20's and they never even blinked an eye !
