If I enter a bill, then spend it, and then get my bill back (10 mins after spending it/1 or 2 hours after spending it/1 or 2 days after spending it), will it go into hit heaven or will it be allowed to stand?
If it's different in each situation, let me know.
I would suggest that under normal circumstances it would be unlikely to ever get one of your own bills back, given the number of bills that are in circulation. It "could" possibly happen I suppose if you went to the same cash register and made a purchase that required change and they still had one of your bills in the cash register.
If you try to enter a bill that you have previously entered you are given a message "You have previously entered a bill with serial number xxxxxxxx" or something to that effect.
You're right. Its unlikely you'd ever get one of your bills back, but if you do, it cannot be re-entered. You would just have to spend it elsewhere and hope you never get it back.
I get my own bills back all the time. At least once every 2 weeks. But…you cannot enter one of your own bills in the system. It gives you an error message, so don't worry about your bill going to hit heaven. No worries.

I get them from the bank (2 different ones) - from the local stores, wherever. When you have any many bills marked as maggiemae and I in a town like Moose Jaw - you'll get your own bills back now and then
I suppose in a smaller centre (although I don't consider Mosse Jaw all that small) I suppose it could happen from time to time.

I paid for some groceries and then my husband bought some groceries and used his card and asked for cash back… they gave him my bill and I noticed so I asked if we could have one that wasn't already ours! They traded us a new bill… gave us a funny look but cheerfuly switched.
I get my own bills back all the time (small town) but today I found a different one, was all excited, came home, entered it only to find out I already did on Feb 17!!! Sorry Hoggs!!
I have got lots of my bills back but I am pretty sure you can not enter your own bills onto the site. I just give them back to my drivers and then they are hopefully circulated out there again.
