This will be the last time i have to say i am sorry. I am leaving this site. I have been hard pressed to say this because no matter what, this has been fun in many ways. What an adventure. I have, since joining this site made many errors and hopefully all you most knowledgable people might consider sending someone an anonymous message regarding their error. It kind of makes it easier some how to know that you are not being reamed out and getting that all to familiar slap on the wrist for the whole community of members to see. This in fact is where the fun ends and the tippytoe begins. It saddens me to see that i sm not the lone ranger and that others have had to endure ridicule from the upper crust of this site. DR is a very busy man but was the first to respond to me to inform me that the hits i recieved the other day would probably not stand. Very quick response DR. One more thing I am not going to apologize to anyone if this message has been placed in the wrong page of the forum. I am done saying I am sorry.

If you are upset about losing what you think are a couple of legitimate hits, I had a 16 hit day once that was knocked back to 4 because one person entered 13 of my bills all at once. No big deal, that was what dr warned us to expect if multiple hits from the same entry IP happened.

I know that this has been mentioned a few times. Would it not be a good idea to have this clearly spelled out in the help section, general code of conduct and any other place that would make sense? I am not sure that it is already there but will certainly be going to have a look here right away….
yeah, it probably could be spelled out in the code of conduct or elsewhere, but there is ample evidence that people don't read those things anyway. (for example… you are unsure if it is already there). i trust dr. he's got a great site here and it isn't really a democracy… he's more like a benevolent autocrat…. :)

no, you don't need to identify if the person you are handing the money to is a user of this site. the majority of established users here know that the purpose here is to track the normal flow of money. if you give them a stack of marked fives, they will likely KNOW that they will enter one or two of them and just turn the rest loose (a situation arose just recently where that was what happened – much to the chagrin of the user who did the spending). the scenario you describe would be unnatural to all but a few of the outliers on this site and indeed, there are limits to which you can use certain denominations as legal tender (try paying for your parking ticket with pennies sometime). the powers that be on this site want to curb abuses by overzealous members and i, for one, am all in favour of that. remember, we are tracking the natural and/or normal flow of money. if you're just here for "glory" then you really ought to re-examine your priorities.
O.K Bad example on the fives scenario, but lower amounts of bills, it is possible. I totally agree with you rudyk. I was just giving my opinion and thoughts. Not trying to upset anyone.
I too hope you'll reconsider maggiemae. You're a valuable member of CMT. I'm sure dr just meant to point out what he had said about multiple entries from the same address. Although they'll go to hit heaven I'm pretty sure you can still get hits on them. In any case I'd hate to see you leave, I just hope you'll reconsider.

Im new and a bit confused. I understand that there is a limit of 4 per IP address of entered bills? no matter how many they enter? what about the rest of the bills entered? are they not entered to be tracked? Example, when the rest of the bills move on and someone else enters them, will they not say they were entered twice before or only once. I hope Ive explained myself ok :)
Also, Maggiemae I do hope you stay, I never got a chance to know you and from the sounds of everyone here, Im really missing out not having the chance.
WRT the bills and natural flow of money…it is NOT natural to pay for an item in $200 worth of $5 bills. Natural would be using $20s or higher. That is why both users have to be careful about legitimate play. When I had those 9 bills in my tray, I made sure that I passed them out again at a rate of only one per customer, even though I was out of $10s in my tray and could have given several customers two or more.
Hope you really decide to stay. This site is all about the fun of seeing where your money goes, If someone enters a bunch of your bills all at once, you still get to see where they go. You don't get hits for all of them at that time but later when someone else finds them in the normal flow of money, you will receive hits from them. I find the excitement of how far they go in the shortest time, or how long it takes to get to the next town. If I paid 200 $ in 5's and 10 minutes later had them all entered at the same place I spent them, that isn't what I'm looking for. I think this is what the site is all about, and I agree, most people don't read the code of conducts but read the forum. This issue has been brought up lots, so everyone really should know what goes to hit heaven! I've even asked dr to send some of my hits to hit heaven because I didn't think they were fair hits! This is a tracking site, the scores are only for fun.
Sure would like you to reconsider maggiemae. I've enjoyed your company on this site very much. It would be a great lose to us all if you go! :-(
I know what you mean, crazz. Although I didn't ask dr to send it to hit heaven (I guess I just assumed it would happen) I got a double on a $20 within 4 minutes of the first hit. I didn't bother to note it in my profile, as I also don't really look for those kinds of hits. And maggie, those bills if hit again will be reported as hits. Again, I hope you stay.
Don't go Maggiemae… We would all miss you..Dr was just letting you know how things work and I am sure it was not meant to make you feel bad…As said by others your leaving would be a loss to us all…I hope you reconsider..
