Hey I'm sorry that's all I can say… well I can say more. Stamping cash is frowned upon by some people dosen't matter what tactic you use. Sure I was getting bad vibes when I passed marked bills thats part of the game . I won't be dong that again and I promis to thorughy read the rules of conduct before I mark any more bills.Bun I cant help wondering how some of us pass on so much cash. I remember reading that what I was doing was o.k. this is before I even new about the rules of conduct.not sure when they were developed. sorry to all of you. Thanks Idjit for straiting me out man
Some of us run businesses, of varying sizes, and see a lot of money come and go. I for one run a small business and work a full time job as well so I have access to a good supply of cash. Sometimes it is difficult to spend all the cash that I accumulate but put it aside for when I am on the road and don't want to use my debit card…..
I have a business so I go through a lot of cash. I dont take debit cards and I no longer take credit cards since the new management (owners etc) whatever they are, came into deffect. I used to deposit the cash and use debit myself but with this site, that would be self defeating so I use the cash now instead.
Yep, gouche is right. A lot of people here have access to several bills a day via their work, which is perfectly acceptable. For a guy like me who only accesses money via the usual transactions (ie banking, groceries, entertainment, etc.) I can only enter so many bills, and rarely come even close to the numbers some can achieve. That's just a fact of life for me. If someone can enter their limit daily, all the power to them I say. I rarely use debit and pay off my credit cards with marked bills. And as far as people frowning upon marked bills, most are pretty accepting if you explain that's it is not illegal and that it is simply a hobby.
hey VD, no problem in putting you on the straight and narrow. glad we could help. i'm not sure when you saw what you did about acceptable practices because anything i have ever seen has been very clear and contrary to your understanding (and i read the rules shortly after joining). but, then again, you DO predate me on the site. maybe it was before i arrived.
as for sources of money to stamp – some of us have businesses or in my case, just a wide circle of friends who help me indulge my fascination with tracking the natural flow of money. it's diffusion, man, and that's what i'm all about. cheers!
Hey Virgo not to worry, mistakes happen. Don't forget this is all just for fun and enjoyment. In my mind there is no need for you to be SORRY as you didn't realize you were doing anything wrong. As far as marking your bills, there is nothing wrong with doing that. Also, if you don't want the people receiving your bills to refuse them or get mad, there is ways around it. One way is to not make your stamps so obvious (use the same colour as the colour of the bill). Another way is to hand the bill to them with the stamp faced down. However, if you don't care what people think or say, then stamp away as loudly and colourfully as you want.
As for the Trillium Trackers are concerned, we haven't officially been added to the CMT Team list yet. So that isn't really an issue. Anyway, don't let this deter you from adding more bills as they come to you naturally, and enjoy the site. - Musquash.
