This Note I took this note out of the Credit Union on April 1st and deposited it at CIBC in Rosthern. Today I withdrew more money from Affinity to put in my CIBC account and got the note I deposted at CIBC 4 days ago… Strange…

No I got the note on the first and deposited it at cibc and today I went to the credit union and got the same note back.. no one could have pulled that joke on me. How would they know I was going to get another amount of money from the credit union and how would they know which teller I was going to.. This is just one of those things that goes to show you that notes go everywhere and you never know where they will be next…….
You never know who is following you!
Is it you Grasshopper…..
Just another reminder that users are highly discouraged from withdrawing cash, marking it, and depositing it back into the bank.
It doesn't surprise me at all. I am not sure how many banks are in Rosthern (2?)…… And how much of the same bills make their rounds in a smaller environment(ie businesses)until it makes to another area? Actually, imo, I am surprised that this is the first time! Just my two cents worth…..
Pooga. I did not withdraw money and mark it and return it to the bank just for the purpose of entering notes. I withdrew money from an account in one bank to cover commitments at the other bank. I would have done this tracking money or not. I would never withdraw money just for the sake of marking it and return it too the same bank or for that matter another branch of the same bank which is what the code of conduct refers to..
There are only two banks in Rosthern but I still would not have expected to see money travel back and forth between them in such a short period of time..Yes with only two banks in town I would expect that they would each see the same money but I would expect it to see more other places between being in the bank, and what are the odds of getting the same note back from any place you recieved it when you spent it elswhere in a 4 day span. Yes, Rosthern is a small town (1500) but I find it very unusual to receive the same note from the same place in that short a time period after spending it somewhere else.
Actually, it is cool that it happened that fast. I apologize if I came off wrong with that one. I would have thought it would happen more often given the fact that a group (1500 as said) using the same businesses would have seen the bills change hands within town a few times before leaving town, even making it to the local bank(s) a few times. What I mean is that maybe a person puts money into the bank, a local business withdrawls cash from bank. Said person goes to business next business and a gets bill back from business. Anyways, it would most likely find its way out after a few transactions
You did not come off wrong and it is not the first time I got my marked note back, but it hads never happened that fast nor in that way. I have gotten a note back that I spent somewhere else other than where I spent it, but to get the same note in the same place I got it the first time in a short period of time really wowed me….
Notes Move in mysterious ways……

I didn't mean to suggest that that's what you did. I didn't want to leave people with the impression that there was not more to the scenario.
I know I deposited cash that I received in my role as treasurer of a non-profit organization in one bank, but am a client of another where I withdraw for personal use.
