I personally use the royal purple and the only time I've run into bill readers is at the casinos or self serve checkouts at grocery stores.

Fortunately most machines have little trouble accepting them, though it's advisible to have a few extra unmarked bills on hand just in case or keep trying different machines until the bill is finally accepted.

Provided you are not interfering with whatever security features are being checked on or have highlighted the serial #s, you shouldn't have too many problems.
The latter option may arouse some suspicion, so don't make it to obvious.
