re: supper minutes/50/50 winnings |
Rudy K thanks for the read of the old thread ftom 2003 as in everything times change. this site was started as a computer programing project by DR. and over the years has turned into a very wonderful money tracker site. The natural flow of money and marking bills on a tracker site should not be used together. Once this site (and others) were put into place and our members started the marking of money the natural flow went out the window. When I first saw the site with teams and rewards (points) for getting hits ... I looked at this site as a GAME but also a neat way to follow my money. Teams and Points HOW could a person NOT look at it as a game? But what ever the case as time has changed the site has also changed, as have some of the members. I no longer enter my limit each day and heck I do not even mark all the bills I spend anymore I do not make lists of bills spent and not yet entered. As a member who was at the last dinner meeting I did not see anyone ask for others to trade bills and I did not try and get other members bills as change. When I joined the CMT and went to my first dinner meeting I was lucky to meet some fine people and as a business man I did some networking. My staff now drink G.W. if I buy them a summer treat for after a hard week of work. If I need some renovation work I use another member for this as he does fine work and as we are friends I do not get ripped off, beer is bought at the government operated outlets and if another member is there whatever (he does work shift work and I do not consult as to his work days as when to shop, and in return these friends call on my services when they need items I provide. Some of them pay me by cheque so they are not looking for hits from me. Members in Saskatoon seem to with our dinner meetings and coffee meetings have also built friendships. The friends I have made will remain my friends if the CMT site ever ended. I am happy that I have made some friends though this site.
The site in Saskatoon has become more than a lab experiment or a method to try our a new computer operating/programing system. this site has taken on a life of its own the creator has turned some duties over to others so that the site will continue while he grows in other directions. I wish all the members of the cmt well and keep on tracking.
