My daughter recently went on a tour of the Royal Canadian Mint, and got to see them making money. One thing that she told me when she got home was that notes are no longer made of paper, but are made of special cotton. This makes the notes last longer, and protects them if they accidentally left in clothes and get washed. COOL!!
