Hi rudyk,
When I learned Canadian Geography in elementary school (mind you that is a LONG time ago) the country was broken down like this:
Atlantic Provinces: Newfoundland, PEI, Nova Scotia and New Brunswick
Maritime Provinces: PEI, Nova Scotia, and New Brunswick does not include Newfoundland.
Central: Quebec, and Ontario
Prairie: Manitoba, Saskatchewan
Western: Alberta, BC
North: NWT, Yukon, Nunavut (well not Nunavut as it didn’t exist)
I agree that Saskatchewan and Manitoba are in the middle of North America, isn’t Winnipeg close to the center of Canada?
