I heard a rumor a few weeks ago that a lot of forged $100.00 notes were being circulated around. What the forgers had done was somehow cut the silver security strip out of a $5.00 note and attach it to $100.00 notes they forged. The way to pick that up is check the reflection on the silver strip. It has the denomination of the note imprinted in it. Check the strip....if it has $100 on it, it's real. If it doesn't, you got a counterfeit.
